This is my website to promote my album and music video. It contains an intro video and other features such as a gallery and a bio.

This is the first part of my website stating the name of the song and also the albums name.

I also have a gallery and a collection of the music which is on the album.

Progress report 13

Today I have handed in my work so far. The music video is completed to the best of my ability and also the covers have been handed in. My website however will be handed in on Monday due to technical issues.

Progress report 12

The video is near completion with the changes implemented from my peers. The insert is coming along greatly with the last set of lyrics in place. The front and back cover is also near completion and my website is nearly completed and nearly ready to be published.

Progress report 11

I have been given a review of my draft music video to my peers. They have suggested a few changes which shall come into effect immediately. These are the following changes:

·         Some scenes and shots within the video are too long and should be shorten down

·         A wider range of shots are needed for some scenes – I.E the outside running scene

·         The music itself should be cut down to at least 3:30 minutes

·         Use some ghosting effects by copying the same part and changing the opacity tool on Premiere pro

·         Use some colour correction to brighten up some of my shots.

Progress report 10

This time, I have finished off the majority of my website with some final touches which need to be added on nearer to the deadline. The album cover is still being arranged, but due to some feedback some my peers, the front cover had to be redone due to the original picture, but this shall be changed as soon as possible. A first draft has been completed and shall be shown to my peers for a review and if changes are necessary before the deadline.

Today I have been working on my video edit. I have been adding on a ghosting effect which I hope will enhance on my story performance. I am also to continue improving my CD cover and to finish building my website which as mentioned will feature the music which shall be on my album, a bio, videos and a gallery to promote me and the album. This is being built on a pop theme template on Wix.com. 

Progress review 8

I have finished filming and now spending my time editing and also completing the website and the CD covers. I shall also use programmes such as Adobe illustrator, Premier Pro and I shall export all by the end of the deadline. This was the last thing I filmed -

This is significant to end my song as this symbolizes that the performer is out of time.

Front and back cover

This is my front and back cover which I shall stick with as it is a better version than the first version. I completed this on a website called canva which is a builder for many online contents.

 I shall work on this before the deadline.

Progress report 7

Today,  I have started my website using an online website builder called wix:

This provides me with a template to build my ideal website to promote the album and music which I am doing. This will compile of a gallery, bio, the songs on my album and other small pieces of info which will make my website look good.

This time I'm finishing of the initial filming for the video and I have taken photos for the album covers, Lyrics booklets and also for the website which is in the process of being made.

The next part of the project is the editing which as mentioned in my last progress report will be in premier pro from Adobe which has a wide range of effects and editing techniques which shall be available.

Also I shall be starting my CD cover and website.

Progress report 5

Today i decided to do some filming on my way home. I diverted to a little forest near to where I live and I shot some footage. One clip is below.

This will be included as well as a clip for the chorus which takes part in the forest. This is the unedited version.

Progress report 4

I have been busy filming external scenes while the weather is nice. Some external shots are done but more need to be completed. and by the end of next week i should be able to export my video clips onto Adobe premier Pro to edit.

Today has been about recording a major scene in the chase. I and my camera operator shot this scene 6 times with different angles. we also did some behind the scenes shots of me and the camera operator which shall be used for the website or the booklet for my CD. Filming will continue and then editing shall begin.

Today I have filmed some parts of the music video which may or may not be included within the initial video. Although some footage will be included in my website as deleted scenes and extra footage for people to see. My plan is to continue filming and to also take photos for a behind the scenes page on the website.

Progress report 1

So far I have been focusing on my research and planning in terms of preparation for my filming. This week I plan to start filming my piece. I will start with my outside shots as these are very accessible now at this time of the year.
Filming in the studio area will follow shortly, then I shall begin to edit the whole video. I will also need to gain access to a quality version of the song which is clear to listen to and place over the footage.
I shall be filming from a tablet- The Samsung galaxy tab 4 which has a good camera to shoot the required footage needed. This saves any expensive equipment from school being damaged on location.

CD cover practice

This is a mock up of my CD cover idea. More features will be added as there is further development.

This is just a mock of what I would like to have in the final piece. Of course there will be different songs from different eras which will be useful to create a mass audience.

My Back cover will look similar to this as I would love to show a contrast between isolation and society:

Characters within the music video

These are my initial ideas for the characters which shall be involved in the music video.

1. The performer - He will be portrayed as a rouged individual - a change from my original idea, but will be in bright clothing. He is having trouble with life and we as the audience explores how a game of poker (Living the high life) compares to isolation and disparity. We see his journey from showing him in a game, to being on the streets - The concept that he does not have a lot of time. In the end, we see him walk off into the distance.

• The poker players - These characters do not speak, but are menacing and can be seen as the antagonist to the performer. The low shots shall be used to show that these people are higher and subsequently more powerful. They will be some, but not all of the scenes. They shall only be present in the studio which will represent a dark room with minimal lighting, gambling for money.

These are my character concepts and will be used throughout. The poker players will be portrayed by several extras who are willing to play these parts.
 I also hope that these characters relate to my audience (users and gratification theory) so that they enjoy the video.

CD BOOKLET ANALYSIS

The main feature which many buy in terms of the physical copies is of course the information booklets. These tell the audience several things, such as the cast of the songs themselves, lyrics, production information and other relevant pieces. In this there will be a few examples which inspire me for ideas of my own booklet.

   This album booklet contains photos of the respected artists in several shots which are in black and white. This is useful to allow the audience to get closer in to the lives of the artists - relatable to the Star theory.

This is very useful for my album in terms of using a face on the album, which is my initial idea. The way the text is in the album booklet is similar to the style that I require for my own piece.
